💾Can this camera work without an Micro SD memory card?
Sure thing! The camera can work just fine without an SD card. You’ll get free motion detection alerts and some cloud storage (10-second videos for 2 days, images for 7 days). If you want to record, it will automatically save to an SD card if you have one. But it’s not a must-have.
⚡What is the voltage input? Can I use 110V?
Yes, both indoor and outdoor cameras require a power source (except solar and battery cameras). The included power adapter supports 110V-240V.
💻📱📺Will this work with an iPhone, MacBook, and iPads?
Absolutely! It works great with iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. For your iPhone and iPad, just head to the App Store and download the "Faleemi Cloud" app. Follow the quick start guide to connect the camera. Note that you can't log into the same account on both an iPhone and an iPad simultaneously, so you'll need to create a new account for your iPad to share from your iPhone. On your MacBook, download the client and log in with your iPhone account. Easy peasy!

Getting started
⚙️How do I reset the camera?
There is a reset button on each camera. Find it and hold it down for
about 10 seconds to reset the camera. The detailed instructions will be at the
last few pages of the included Quick Start Guide.
📏How far away from home can you place this?
It depends on your router's Wi-Fi signal strength and the environment. Typically, it works up to 50 feet from the router if the signal is strong and there are no thick walls in between.
🧱Can I hang the camera on the wall?
Yes, the camera comes with a bracket and screws for wall or ceiling mounting. The stand is flexible and can be rotated to any angle.
↕️Can it be installed upside down?
Yes, the indoor camera's bracket can be mounted upside down on the ceiling. The software has a mirror option for vertical or horizontal flipping. For the outdoor camera, follow the manual's installation directions and do not mount it upside down to prevent water damage.
💧Can these cameras work outdoors? Which one is waterproof?
Please refer to the title on the box.
•Indoor Units:
These cameras are not waterproof and are for indoor use only. If you're sure they won't get wet, you can use them. They need a power outlet and must be within Wi-Fi range. No Ethernet cable is required.
•Indoor/Outdoor Units:
These weatherproof cameras can be used both indoors and outdoors. They require a continuous power supply and a stable network connection.
•Battery/Solar Camera:
Powered by batteries or solar, these cameras only need a good wireless network connection.
📱📱Can I connect a new device to the camera remotely? i.e., without being on the same Wi-Fi network?
Yes, you can. After you get the camera connected on one phone, you
can share it with family or friends, even if they are in different locations.
They just need to sign up for a Faleemi Cloud account to accept your shared
devices. You can share each camera with up to 3 users for free. We also offer a
desktop software for you to view the camera on PC. For more than 3 users,
subscribe to a premium service package.
🔉Does it make noise when panning or tilting?
It makes a low, almost negligible sound when panning or tilting. This is normal due to the motor inside.
🔌If I need a longer power cord, can I buy a longer one for the camera?
Yes, you can. Contact us through our website or email support@faleemi.com with your product model, and we'll send you a link to purchase the appropriate extension cord.
Connect Wi-Fi
📡How far can the camera’s Wi-Fi reach? For example, if I put it at my front door and my router is in the living room?
It depends on your home setup, but generally, you can expect a stable connection within 30-60 feet. If there are thick walls or other obstacles between the camera and the router, the signal might get weaker. To check the signal strength, just open the app, tap the camera settings, and look at the signal value at the top. A value like -33dBm is good, but if it's below -90dBm, the signal is too weak. You might need to move your router or add a Wi-Fi extender for better coverage.
🔗Can the camera work with my 5GHz router?
Our older models (like the FSC series and early FT2) only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. If you have a dual-band router, make sure to connect your phone to the 2.4GHz network before setting up the camera. Follow the quick setup guide, and you'll be all set.
Good news! The FS2 and FT2 models sold after October 2024 now support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, so you can connect to either band.
🌐What's the difference between 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi for my security camera, and which one is better?
Great question! Let's break it down:
•2.4GHz Wi-Fi:
Pros: Better at penetrating walls and has a wider range.
Cons: Can be more crowded and slower because lots of devices use this band.
•5GHz Wi-Fi:
Pros: Faster speeds and less interference, making it great for high-definition streaming.
Cons: Doesn’t go through walls as well and has a shorter range.
So, which one is better?
-If your camera is in a spot with lots of walls or far from the router, 2.4GHz might be your best bet.
-If you need faster speeds and your camera is close to the router with minimal obstructions, 5GHz is the way to go.
Think of 2.4GHz as a trusty old truck that can handle rough terrain, and 5GHz as a sleek sports car that needs a clear, straight road. Choose based on your setup!
📶Will this work with my phone's hotspot?
Yeah, it should work, but keep in mind that the camera streams live video, which can eat up a lot of your mobile data. It’s better to connect it to a Wi-Fi network for a more stable and data-friendly experience.
🖥️My network needs the camera's MAC address to connect. How can I get it?
No sweat! Here are three easy ways to find the MAC address:
1. Check the Camera Label: If it’s on the label, just jot it down.
2. Send a Photo: If it’s not on the label, snap a clear photo of the label and send it to our tech support at support@faleemi.com. We’ll find the MAC address for you.
3. Use Your Phone's Hotspot:•
Turn on your phone’s hotspot.
•Connect the camera to the hotspot following the setup guide.
•Once the camera is online, go to the settings (look for the ">" icon next to the camera).
•You’ll see the MAC address there. Take a screenshot and then reset the camera to reconnect to your Wi-Fi.
Connect PC/Mac
🖥️Can I access my security camera from my PC or Mac?
Absolutely! We’ve got you covered with our Faleemi Cloud software for both PC and Mac.
1. First, use the Faleemi Cloud App to connect your camera to your mobile phone.
2. Then, download and install the Faleemi Cloud software from the app store:
•Windows: Download here 🢃

Security
🔐How do I change the password of the app?
Easy peasy! Here’s how:
1. If you remember your current password:
•Log into the FaleemiCloud APP.
•Go to "Me" > "Account Security" > "Change Password".
•Enter your old password, then the new one, and tap "OK".
2. If you’ve forgotten your password:
•Open the FaleemiCloud APP and tap "Forgot Password".
•Follow the prompts to reset it.
Hope that helps!
👥When I share my device with other users, can I cancel or change permissions at any time?

Click the settings icon next to the camera, then "Invite Family & Friends," and delete the user.
To customize permissions:
You can tweak what they can do, like:
• Motion alerts
• Cloud storage replay
• Local storage replay
•Two-way audio
• Light control
• Siren control
Stay in charge and keep it fun!
View
🖼️If I buy more cameras, can I view multiple cameras at the same time?
Absolutely! The Faleemi App lets you add as many as you want, no camera caps and view up to 4 of them on one screen. Just tap the four-panel icon in the top left corner to add and watch your cameras. Easy peasy!
👶Can the camera pick up sounds around it, like a baby crying?
Yup! Our indoor cameras, like the FS2, can definitely catch those little cries. Use it as a baby monitor and if things get too quiet or too loud, just tweak the volume or mic settings in the app. Voilà! 🍼✨
📱Can I view the same camera on different phones? Like, can my husband and I watch the baby's room at the same time?
Sure thing! Up to 4 phones (Android or iPhone) can stream from the same camera simultaneously. Just sign up for a Faleemi Cloud account, set up your camera, and then share access with your hubby—he'll need his own Faleemi Cloud account too. Piece of cake!
🕹️ Can I control the camera from my phone?
You bet! Use the Faleemi Cloud app (free on iPhone, Android, Windows, and Mac) to view and control your camera. It’s loaded with features like pan, tilt, two-way audio, motion detection, and more. Just download it from the App Store or Google Play and start exploring! If you run into any limits, check if you’re a shared user and reach out to the person who shared the account.
🔄My camera is mounted on the ceiling, and when viewing through the app, the picture is upside down. How can I fix this?
No sweat! Go to the camera settings, tap "Image Rotation," and select "Reverse Mounting" in Advanced Settings. Boom, you're all set!
📌 What does "Position" mean on the main screen of the camera, and how do I use it?
"Position" lets you set specific viewing spots for your camera. For example, you can set Position 1 as the front door and Position 2 as the kitchen. When you want to check the front door, just click Position 1, and the camera will automatically swing back to that view. No manual fiddling required!
🎯How do I enable the camera's auto-tracking feature?
Easy! Just head to Camera Settings, then Advanced Settings, and turn on "Intelligent Tracking." Now your camera will follow the action like a pro!
Night Vision
🌜Will the camera automatically switch to night vision?
Absolutely! The camera will automatically switch to night vision based on the light levels. You can also tweak it manually in the Faleemi Cloud app:
1. Tap the settings icon next to your camera.
2. Go to "Light and Night Vision."
3. Choose from these modes:
• Auto Infrared
• Intelligent Light (recommended💡)
• Light Timing
• All Off
It’s as simple as that!
🔴Is the IR LED always on?
Nope! The IR LED stays off in bright light. But when it gets dark, like at night, it kicks on to light up the scene.
🚫Are the IR LEDs visible when recording night vision? Can they be turned off?
Yeah, you'll see a red glow when the IR lights are on, so they're visible during night recordings. You can turn them off manually, but if it's dark and the IR lights are off, your video will be super dark and hard to see.
🚫Can I turn off night vision?
Sure thing! Just tap the settings icon next to your camera, go to "Light and Night Vision," and select "All Off Mode." Night vision will be a no-go!
📏What is the night vision distance? How far can it see?
Officially, it's about 16 feet. But that really depends on where you use it. In a small room, it'll give you a clear view of everything, especially with the white light model—night vision looks even better with some light bouncing around. Out in a big, dark space or outdoors, though, the range will be shorter.
Motion Detection
🕵️Does the camera support motion detection? How does it work?
Yep, it sure does! The camera spots any movement in its view. When it detects motion, it triggers an alarm, starts recording, and sends a notification straight to your phone. 🕵️🚨
📲Can I adjust the sensitivity of Motion detection?
Absolutely! Faleemi cameras let you tweak the motion detection sensitivity in the app. This helps you avoid false alarms from things like swaying trees or passing cars.
Here’s how:
Tap the Settings icon, select Motion Detection, and choose the Sensitivity level that works for you.
Simple as that!
🔔What happens when camera motion detection is triggered?
When the camera detects motion, it kicks into action by recording pics or videos and sending real-time alerts to your phone. You can check it out live and, if needed, tap "siren" to sound the alarm or turn on the lights to scare off any intruders. 🔔
🎯Can I set up a specific area for motion detection?
Absolutely! Faleemi cameras let you customize motion zones, so you can zero in on the important areas and cut down on false alarms.
Here’s how:
Go to Camera Settings > Motion Detection > Detection Area, then drag to select the specific spot you want to keep an eye on.
Easy peasy! 🎯
🕒Is motion detection always active, or can I schedule it?
You can definitely schedule when motion detection is active. For example, you might want it on at night and off during the day.
Here’s how:
Go to Camera Settings > Motion Alert > Schedule, set the start time to 21:00 and the end time to 7:00, and choose Monday through Friday.
Now you’ve got a custom schedule that works for you! 🕒
💡How accurate is motion detection in low-light conditions?
Faleemi cameras with IR (infrared) tech can nail motion detection even in low light. The infrared LEDs light up the scene, and some models even have built-in white lights that brighten things up like a lamp. This means they can spot and detect motion even in total darkness. 🌙💡
📝Can I get a summary of all motion detection events?
The Faleemi security camera app has got you covered with all motion events, complete with alert pics/video logs. You can easily check the summaries and watch the recorded clips. It’s a breeze to stay on top of everything!
Here’s how:
In the main interface of camera, tap "Alert," pick the date on the left, and scroll down to see the logs for each time period.
Piece of cake! 🥧
Alert/Notifications
📢Why aren't I getting camera alert notifications on my phone?
1. Make sure your phone has "Faleemi Cloud" notifications turned on.
2. In the "Faleemi Cloud" app, check if "Motion Alert" is enabled and if it’s within the set schedule.
Record/Storage
💾What type of storage medium is recommended for my Faleemi security camera?
For optimal performance, we recommend using a microSD card with a capacity of 64GB and 128GB. This size range provides ample storage space for your recordings without compromising the camera's performance.
❓ How do I insert a memory card?
Check out the quick install guide in the box for the details. Just slide the card in as shown, and it's best to do this when the camera is off to keep everything safe and sound!
🔌I inserted a memory card, but it's not showing up in the camera.
Give it a moment if it's a big card. Then, swipe down on the main screen to refresh. You should see the Memory card storage option pop up in the camera settings soon!
📼Why didn't I record the video after inserting the card?
1. Please check if the camera has read the memory card.
2. Go to the camera settings, select "Memory card storage," and check if it is enabled. Also, ensure that your current time is within the scheduled recording time.
✨What happens when my memory card is full?
When your memory card is full, by default settings, it'll start overwriting the oldest files. But don't worry, you can also set it to stop recording if you prefer.
🏃♂️How does the motion detection feature work in terms of saving recordings on a Faleemi security camera?
When the Faleemi security camera detects motion, it automatically starts recording and saves the footage to your chosen storage medium (e.g., microSD card or cloud). This ensures that you capture important events without having to constantly monitor the live feed.
⏬ How can I replay and save some of the recorded videos?
Replay: In the camera interface, click "Replay," select the date in the upper left corner, and move the timeline. Green blocks indicate video segments; click the play button to view them.
•Save: Click the download button next to the date. A timeline with a selection box will appear. Choose the range you need and click "Download."
You can also access your videos by clicking "Me" > "Local Videos" on the homepage menu. From there, you can "Save to Local," "Share," or "Delete" the videos.
Cloud Storage
☁️ Can I subscribe to cloud storage for my Faleemi security camera?
Yes, Faleemi security cameras offer cloud storage subscriptions.
Cloud storage means recorded events are backed up to a safe server. One that
you can access in case your physical camera is taken or damaged. While local
recording can be accomplished with a MicroSD card, these cards can be removed
by anyone.
🔒 What are the benefits of using cloud storage for my Faleemi security camera?
Cloud storage offers several advantages:
•Security: Your recordings are stored off-site, protecting them from theft or damage.
•Accessibility: You can access your recordings from anywhere with an internet connection.
•Reliability: Cloud storage is typically more reliable than local storage, as it is managed by professional services.
•Scalability: You can easily upgrade your storage plan as your needs grow.
•Automatic Backups: Cloud storage often includes automatic backups, so you never have to worry about losing important footage.
💳Do I have to buy cloud storage?

🌐What is ONVIF and why should I care?
ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) is a global standard for the interfaces of IP-based physical security products. It ensures that different brands of security cameras and software can work together seamlessly. Most Faleemi security camera models support ONVIF, which means you can easily integrate them with other ONVIF-compliant devices and software, making your setup super versatile.
🔍How can I check if my camera supports ONVIF?
Faleemi, as the manufacturer, has listed ONVIF compatibility as a key feature.
Here’s how:
Go to Camera Settings > Local application > ONVIF > Enable ONVIF
You should see the Port and Verification option.
If you don't see the ONVIF option, it means that the product is in early production and does not support ONVIF.
